But I did win a GW2 concept art book, which frankly I'm a lot happier about winning than gold and ectos. Cash is cool and all, but an amazing art book just tickles me pink.

Oh jeez, for some reason I thought those were part of the goodie bag reward! The Seer looks like a cool little thing to sit on my desktop - thanks for mentioning that, and for the goods from both you and Tzu.

Indeed it was. You'd better make it to the Wintersday one, or there will be hell to pay.

Congratualations to all the winners! And a big thank you to Tzu, the judges and all the people that contributed in another way (like participating ). It was a big succes again. I hope I will be able to enter the Wintersday Contest, but it will be tight since I will have little time and the idea I got in mind takes a lot of time D: But I will definatly shout in the thread and probably distrub the party with louzy comments

It was incredibly difficult to judge this year, even more so than the last couple of workshops, and this was mostly due to the fact that there can only be one prize per person. Even with the judges picking three possible winners for every award in order of who they believed were most deserving, there was a lot of disagreement and in the end I just had to count votes (/points) and let the majority decide. The results feel a bit like a compromise, because none of us completely agree but none of us disagree either. Most importantly, almost everyone the judges voted for something got a prize, even if we don't all agree on the categorical placements.

Also, thanks to Kiya for injecting 200k into the prize pot during the party, it was split between Pure Evil and Most Amusing.

I hope you all are ready for wintersday in a week's time.

EDIT: @GravitySocks: have you tried e-mailing contests [at] arena [dot] net ? You may have sent them the wrong e-mail a address, or maybe their e-mail has been filtered into your spam folder?

Omai, exited ^^ So soon! Damn university this year, I really wanted to make something super special this year, because the previous wintersday was the first time I ever used a tablet, so I wanted to 'celebrate that', but I'm afraid time won't let me
